Eligibility Criteria

Offered by Albukhary Foundation, this scholarship supports students from select ASEAN countries to pursue Foundation and Undergraduate programs at Albukhary International University, Malaysia. Valued at USD22,222, it covers tuition and related academic costs.

 

• Malaysian applicants: 17 to 22 years old at the time of application  International applicants: 17 to 20 years old at the time of application

• Marital Status  Applicants must be single (unmarried)

• Open to Malaysian students and international applicants, including those from ASEAN and other regions

• Applicants must demonstrate financial need  Household income must be within the eligible threshold:  International: Typically household income does not exceed USD 300 per month Malaysian: Household income thresholds set by programme guidelines (e.g., B40 or other categories)

• Applicants from higher-income countries (e.g., Brunei, Singapore) may be considered but will undergo additional socioeconomic assessment

• Applicants must meet the academic entry requirements for the chosen undergraduate programme  

• A satisfactory academic record is required (e.g., results/transcripts of high school studies)

• Language Requirement : English proficiency (IELTS/TOEFL/MUET) may be beneficial, though not always mandatory at the initial stage  If documents are not in English, certified translations may be required

• Applicants must provide complete and clear documents regarding identity, academic records, household income, personal statement, and any other required proofs

• Shortlisted applicants may be required to undergo a scholarship interview or assessment, often conducted online

• Applicants agree to comply with AIU’s academic policies and conduct standards throughout their study period
